Zinc stearate (C36 H70 O4 Zn) is a metallic additive ; or the metallic “salt” of fatty acid.
It is a hydrophobic white solid, which repels water. It is insoluble in polar solvents such as alcohol or ether, but dissolves well when heated in aromatic solvents.
It is a powerful mold release agent.
